For what it's worth, it's very nicely done, but I can't help but wonder why she is fully grown rather then you know, a pony?

Thanks. I think you'll find though that ponies do in fact grow to adults. And they don't all look like cute stubby foals. But I know where you're coming from. However I was wanting to paint AppleJack with some realism. This from my point of view is a realistic teenagerish pony.

Applejack *is* an adult pony. The FiM art is extremely stylized, but AJ isn't going to get any taller. Anyway, I like the drawing, although I'm not a fan of the giant fetlock hair, it makes her look too masculine.
